My Trip to Orlando, Florida

This week, I went to Florida for a school trip and unfortunately, it was my last year going on this trip, and I made the best of it

The trip started with us leaving school early at 1:00 on April 30th. We then headed to Newark Liberty Airport to start our journey. Our plane boarded at 6:00, so we made it just in time to get an amazing view of the sunset. This is the best airplane sunset I have seen so far.

The next day, Friday, May 1st, we started by having some breakfast in the hotel and then headed to Universal Studios for our band and choir performance. Then we had the rest of the day to spend in the parks.

I visited the Wicked exhibit that had outfit replicas, the set design, and so many other cool things! When I saw this on my TikTok For You Page a few months ago, I knew I had to visit this attraction, and trust me, it was worth the wait!

The next day, Saturday, May 2nd, we had a workshop that was on one of the soundstages in their studio. Fun fact, Universal Studios has over 30 stages at just Orlando alone! From what I remember, we were in Stage 21. Many TV shows for Nickelodeon have been filmed there. We did a workshop on Foley, which is a way that soundtracks are made for movies (I'll be working with Foley a lot in film school), and we played one of the songs from Despicable Me (the band and choir combined), and we put a portion of the film to music. Unfortunately, since I was behind the scenes and backstage a lot, I couldn't take any photos, and phones were not allowed to be out, especially since we were in the soundstage for the majority of the time. We also had to go through tons of security, once to get into the soundstage and once to get out when we were going into the park through the back entrance (yes, there's an entrance right outside the soundstages). This experience was so cool, and I'm so glad I could experience it!

For the rest of the day, we spent some time in the parks and went on rides. For our last day in Florida, we headed to the airport, and we started getting ready for our flight.

We had two flights, one that left at 12:45 and one that was supposed to leave at 4:00 pm. I was on the 4:00 flight, so I had plenty of time to buy souvenirs for friends, and get some food, and hang out. That was until our flight was delayed to 5:00, then 5:30, then 5:45, then 6:00, then 7:00. We took off at 6:54 pm, and we landed around 9:00. But due to issues with the plane, we left the plane around 9:45 pm. We left the airport at 10:30 and I got home at around 11:30 pm.

This trip was so amazing and I'm so glad I could shar my experience with you.
